NOTE: Up to one month single entry business, tourist and private visas will be issued to USA nationals, without invitations from Kazakhstan, on the basis of their personal or companies' written statements submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Washington, DC
Checklist of paperwork required for TOURIST Visa:
- Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank adjacent (facing) visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
- One visa application form duly filled online, PRINT and signed by the applicant. All fields MUST be duly completed, if any section is not applicable, please mark as N/A.
- Two (2) passport-sized photo (attached to application form)
- A Letter of Guarantee addressed to the "Consular Section - The Embassy of Kazakhstan" from stating applicant's name, passport details, the purpose and duration of your trip, Dates & Places to be visited and financial guarantee for expenses that will be incurred in Kazakhstan.
- Copy of Travel itinerary
Fee: $ 160 (Single entry - 1 month validity, Double or Multiple Entry - Up to 1 year validity)
Time Taken: 5 - 7 business days for the Visa processing (The Consular section is closed every WED)
IMPORTANT
For your travel, please ensure that:
- Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
- Proof of sufficient funds required to cover the stay and / or documents for the next / onward destination.
- Important - Must hold return / onward tickets, or else traveler can be denied entry.

- For DOUBLE Entry & MULTIPLE Entry Visas - Validity up to One year - A copy of the invitation letter from a company in Kazakhstan is needed (same for double and triple entry visas). This letter must be submitted by the inviting company in Kazakhstan to the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Department of Consular Services will provide the hosting company with a reference number for you to submit it with other documents to the Consular Section (more info www.mfa.kz)
