Nationals of USA visiting Argentina for Tourism & Business are required to pay a reciprocity fee of USD 160 - The fee can be paid in pesos or US Dollars. This "reciprocity fee" is not a visa, this amount is equivalent to what Argentines must pay when requesting a visa to enter the United States.

- You must make this payment online before arriving in Argentina, as it is the only way to comply with this requirement.
- Register and fill out the form with your personal data and credit card information (Visa, American Express or Master Card are accepted). The National Directorate of Immigration in Argentina will receive this information electronically
- Print the receipt. This receipt will be valid immediately, as soon as payment is made.
- Upon arrival in Argentina, this receipt must be presented to immigration officers.
- The receipt will be scanned by the immigration control officers, who will verify the data and authorize entry to Argentina
- The fee is valid for 10 years from the date of payment, and for multiple entries for U.S. citizens, as established by the National Directorate of Immigration.
IMPORTANT:
For your travel, please ensure that:
- Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
- Maximum stay duration of 90 days is granted (when applicable) within 6 months / 180 days period.
- Proof of sufficient funds required to cover the stay and / or documents for the next / onward destination.
- Important - Must hold return / onward tickets, or else traveler can be denied entry.
