Malawi Travel Visa Not Required For Citizens of United States.
Nationals of USA can obtain a visitor permit on arrival for maximum stay up to 30 days. Free of Charge.
Application for a permit extension for an additional 30 days (or less) is MK 5,000.00 (Approx $15 U.S. dollars)
IMPORTANT
For your travel, please ensure that:
- Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
- Proof of sufficient funds required to cover the stay and / or documents for the next / onward destination.
- Important - Must hold return / onward tickets, or else traveler can be denied entry.
