Nigeria Visa Requirements

Nigeria Travel Visa Required For Citizens of United States.

Checklist of paperwork required for the Tourist Visa:

  • Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank adjacent (facing) visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
  • Visa application form duly filled Online:
    • APPLY ONLINE (towards right hand, upper corner)
    • Then under column "Visa" Click "Entry Visa Application form'
    • Select processing Country as "USA" - click START APPLICATION
    • LOG-ON using your Google or Yahoo email I/d
    • Please ensure: Application forms must be completed in full & no column to be left blank.
      • Print the Application I/d and File Reference no.
      • PRINT and Sign the last page of the Visa application form
  • Two (2) recent photographs
    • passport size. (2 x 2 in)
    • Photos must be recent, frontal-view, of the same batch, untouched, taken on white background
    • showing applicant wearing no glasses of any kind, except for prescription glasses
    • Please write first and last names of applicant in pencil on back of photos
  • A Request letter from the applicant, requesting TOURIST VISA issuance - stating the name and passport details of the applicant, purpose of visit, full names & address of host / reference in Nigeria, duration of stay, guarantee of return transportation and financial support while in Nigeria
  • Letter of Invitation from the Nigerian Host / Associate, requesting Tourist VISA issuance, duly confirming applicant's name, passport details, purpose and duration of visit while in Nigeria. Please ensure that the Letter of Invitation is accepting "Full Immigration responsibility of the applicant while in Nigeria"
  • Copy of the Nigerian Inviting Person / Host's Passport I/D page
  • If Host is an Expat - a copy of the Nigerian Residence Permit is needed
  • A copy of the travel itinerary
  • Confirmed Hotel reservation - if the applicant is not residing with the Host - While in Nigeria
  • Evidence of funds to cover stay in Nigeria (Bank Statement, etc.)
  • Copy of International Vaccination Certificate (Yellow Fever)
  • Additional requirements for non-US citizens:
    • Copy of original passport
    • Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa.

Time Taken: 2 days - 12 business days

Visa Processing Fee: Online Visa fees paid - Confirmation of Fee payment must be submitted. $ 30.00 (administrative fee for Normal processing) $ 85.00 (administrative fee for Rush processing)

IMPORTANT

For your travel, please ensure that:

  • Proof of sufficient funds required to cover the stay and / or documents for the next / onward destination.
  • Important - Must hold return / onward tickets, or else traveler can be denied entry.

  • Letter of Invitation from the Nigerian Host / Associate, requesting Business VISA issuance, duly confirming applicant's name, passport details, purpose and duration of visit while in Nigeria. Please ensure that the Letter of Invitation is accepting "Full Immigration responsibility of the applicant while in Nigeria"
  • A copy of the travel itinerary
  • Copy of International Vaccination Certificate (Yellow Fever)
  • Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the Host Company in Nigeria
  • Additional requirements for non-US citizens:
    • Copy of original passport
    • Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa.
