Azerbaijan Visa Requirements

Checklist of paperwork required for the Business Visa:

• Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
• Online visa application forms, electronically typed, completed and duly signed by the applicantPlease ensure: Application forms must be completed in full & no column to be left blank.
  • Application MUST BE FILLED ONSCREEN ONLY (Handwritten applications are not acceptable for Visa processing)
  • A unique valid email address is needed for each visa application completed.
  • The "Humanity validation" (CAPTCHA) may require multiple attempts. Please be patient and refresh as many times as needed to pass the validation.
  • After completing, SUBMIT the form (and a long alpha-numeric code application will be generated) PRINT the form, please sign at the bottom of the print-out
  • If you are having difficulty with this form, you may not have the latest version of one of the supported browsers. In that case, return to http://evisa.mfa.gov.az/ and click on one of the supported browsers to load the most current version.
  • Complete the Online Visa application form, SUBMIT and PRINT 2 (two) copies to submit for each applicant.
  • Original signature of the applicant on each set of Visa form
  • Please fill answers to all questions on the visa form - do not leave any section blank. If any portion does not apply - please write N/A or "not-applicable"
  • Applications with incomplete information - may be subject to delay
• Two (2) recent photographs
  • passport size. (2 x 2 in)
  • photos must be recent, frontal-view, of the same batch, untouched, taken on white background
  • showing applicant wearing no glasses of any kind, except for prescription eyewear
  • Please write first and last names of applicant in pencil on back of photos
• A company letter of guarantee on official letterhead - stating the name and position of the applicant in the company, purpose of visit or nature of business to be performed, full names & address of business reference in Azerbaijan, duration of stay, guarantee of return transportation and financial support while in Azerbaijan.
• Letter of invitation from the Inviting company in Azerbaijan, stating applicant's name, passport details, purpose & duration of stay - duly approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Azerbaijan. A multiple entry Visa will only be issued if the official invitation is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clearly specifies "Multiple entries" Visa confirmation - must be received directly by the Embassy (prior to Visa Issuance)
• A copy of the travel itinerary
• In individual cases, you may be required to provide additional documents.
• If you are a U.S legal resident:
  • Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa
  • Copy of original passport

IMPORTANT: All foreigners visiting the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than three days, need to be registered at the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan within three days of arrival into Azerbaijan.

TRAVEL RESTRICTION:

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan advises that the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan prohibit visiting the occupied territories of Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven adjacent districts without the explicit consent of the Azerbaijani authorities. It is illegal to travel to these regions without a special permit and Visa issued by the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Time Taken: 5 - 10 business days (per consular discretion) NOTE: NO Visa Submissions / Collections on Tuesday / Thursday.

Visa Validity: Generally the Visas are issued for Single / Multiple entry, valid for 3 months. Visa validity is issued case to case basis - per Consular discretion.

Visa Processing Fee: $160.00 - Fees must be paid in US dollars with either a money order or cashier's check. In addition, Outsourcing fee $20.00 is also applicable towards application handling by Travisa Outsourcing.

IMPORTANT

For your travel, please ensure that:

• Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
• Proof of sufficient funds required to cover the stay and / or documents for the next / onward destination.
• Important - to hold return / onward tickets, or else traveler can be denied entry.
