Åland Islands (pronounced "Oh-lahnd")
The Åland Islands or Åland is an autonomous, demilitarized, monolingual Swedish-speaking region of Finland that consists of an archipelago lying at the entrance to the Gulf of Bothnia in the Baltic. USA Nationals can enter Åland Islands and stay for a period up to 90 days.
Citizens of the Nordic countries and countries that are signatories to the Schengen Agreement can come to Åland without a passport but should carry an identity card.
IMPORTANT:
For your travel, please ensure that:
- Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank visa pages (Note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
- Proof of sufficient funds required to cover the stay and / or documents for the next / onward destination.
- Important - Must hold return / onward tickets, or else traveler can be denied entry.
