Sudan Visa Requirements

Sudan Travel Visa Required For Citizens of United States.

Checklist of paperwork required for the Tourist Visa:

  • Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank adjacent (facing) visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
  • One (1) visa application forms, electronically typed, completed and duly signed by the applicant Please ensure:
    • Application forms must be completed in full & no column to be left blank.
    • Original signature of the applicant on each page of Visa form.
    • Please fill answers to all questions on the visa - do not leave any section blank. If any portion does not apply - please write N/A or "not-applicable"
    • Applications with incomplete information - may be subject to delay
  • One (1) recent photographs
    • passport size. (2 x 2 in)
    • Photos must be recent, frontal-view, of the same batch, untouched, taken on white background
    • showing applicant wearing no glasses of any kind, except for prescription glasses
    • Please write first and last names of applicant in pencil on back of photos
  • A request letter stating the name & passport details of the applicant, purpose of visit, full names & address of reference in Sudan, duration of stay, guarantee of return transportation and financial support while in Sudan.
  • Letter of invitation from host / associate in Sudan stating applicant's name, passport details, purpose & duration of stay.
  • A copy of the travel itinerary
  • Copy of valid International Vaccination Certificate (Yellow fever & Cholera recommended)
  • If you are a U.S legal resident, provide a copy of your Alien Card / or legal resident status in USA
  • Additional for non-US citizens: - Copy of original passport - Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa.

Time Taken: 4 - 6 weeks approx. (per consular discretion) - All Visas are issued upon approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Khartoum, Sudan.

Visa Validity: 7 - 30 days. Extensions of periods of stay in the Sudan may be done through the Passport, Immigration and Nationality Office in Khartoum, Sudan.

Visa Processing Fee: $151.00 - Fees must be paid in US dollars with either a money order or cashier's check

IMPORTANT: Having an Israel stamp in your passport may stop the applicant from obtaining a Visa for Sudan and even entering Sudan.

For your travel, please ensure that:

  • Letter of invitation from the Inviting company in Sudan stating applicant's name, passport details, purpose & duration of stay.
  • A copy of the travel itinerary
