Belarus Travel Visa Required For Citizens of United States.

Checklist of paperwork required for TOURIST Visa:

  • Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank adjacent (facing) visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
  • One online visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant
  • One passport-sized photo (attached to application form)
  • An original or a copy of a letter of invitation from a Belarusian travel agency. Hosting organization should be registered as a tourist company by the Belarusian authorities.
  • A Letter of applicant addressed to the "The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus" stating applicant's name, passport details, the purpose and duration of your trip, and financial guarantee for expenses that will be incurred in Belarus.
  • In individual cases, you may be required to provide additional documents.
  • Additional requirements for non-US citizens:
    • Copy of original passport
    • Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa.
  • Copy of proposed Travel itinerary
  • Medical insurance is required for all foreign citizens traveling to the Republic of Belarus. US citizens may purchase the insurance upon arrival at Minsk National Airport.
  • If you formerly had USSR or Belarusian citizenship, please submit the documents proving the loss of USSR/Belarusian citizenship.
  • MINOR - If applicant is a child under 18 years of age, a copy of child's birth certificate and copies of parents’ passport main information pages (with passport number, expiration date, photo etc.) have to be submitted.

Fee:

USD 160 (Single entry) & USD 190 (multiple entry) - Normal processing Fee

USD 320 (Single entry) & USD 380 (multiple entry) - Expedite processing Fee

Time Taken: 5 - 7 business days for the Visa processing.

NOTE:

  • The period of temporary stay of foreign citizens in Belarus is determined by the duration of their Belarusian visa and cannot be more than 90 days a year, starting from the date of entry in Belarus. After arriving to Belarus please report in 3 business days the information about the address and duration of your stay to the local Passport and Visa Office of the Ministry of Interior and have registration put in the holder’s passport. If staying in a hotel, this will be arranged by the hotel services (reception bureau).
  • All passengers holding US passports and visa of Belarus, traveling to Belarus via Moscow, must obtain Russian Transit Visa.

  • One passport-sized photo (attached to application form)
  • (Commercial visit without intention to work, up to 90 days within a year): Letter of Invitation from the host company in Belarus, which is registered as a legal entity by the Belarusian authorities, stating applicant's name, passport details, purpose & duration of visit. The letter of invitation should be printed on the official letterhead with a registration number, date of issue, and should bear the signature of an official and a corporate seal. An inviting party must provide written guarantees that an invitee will abide by the rules and regulations applied to foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus. NOTE: For business visa to the Republic of Belarus valid through 30 days or less - Applicants may submit their documents without providing a letter of invitation. Nevertheless, the inviting organization's full name (not abbreviation) and address must be indicated in the visa application form.
  • A Letter of Guarantee addressed to the "The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus" from your employer stating applicant's name, passport details, the purpose and duration of your trip, sponsorship information and financial guarantee for expenses that will be incurred in Belarus.
