Bolivia Travel Visa Required For Citizens of United States.
Checklist of paperwork required for TOURIST Visa:
- Original passport must be valid for at least 6 months - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 2 blank adjacent (facing) visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
- One visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant
- Online information form duly filled (additional - requirement, click on the hyperlink and scroll below) PRINT, SIGN
- One passport-sized photo (attached to application form)
- Copy valid International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow fever)
- Copy of the hotel reservation or invitation letter from Bolivian friends or relatives indicating the host address.
- Bank statement or equivalent that shows economic solvency. (A copy of Credit Card - front side- will also be accepted. Please note that the validity of the document should be for at least the travel period). Parent's or Legal Guardian's Economic Solvency documents are accepted for underage applicants.
- In individual cases, you may be required to provide additional documents.
- Copy of proposed Travel itinerary
- Additional requirements for non-US citizens:
- Copy of original passport
- Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa.
Fee: USD 135 - payable by Money order or Cashier's check
Time Taken: 5 - 7 business days for the Visa processing.

- A Letter of Guarantee addressed to the "The Embassy of Bolivia" from your employer stating applicant's name, passport details, the purpose and duration of your trip, sponsorship information and financial guarantee for expenses that will be incurred in Bolivia.
