Angola Visa Requirements

Angola Travel Visa Required For Citizens of United States.

Checklist of paperwork required for the Business (Ordinario) Visa:

Visa can be processed in Houston based on the Visa Authorization from the Migration and Foreigners Services, addressed to the “Consulate General of Angola” in Houston - TX. The Visa can be processed for USA nationals and all Non-US passport holders having legal resident status in USA.

IMPORTANT:

  • The Consulate General of Angola is open for Visa submissions ONLY on Mon & Wed.
  • The Ordinario (Business) Visa issuance generally takes about 5 - 7 days for processing.
  • Applicant is required to be present in person at the Consulate General of Angola in Houston, to complete the finger-printing / Biometrics. Case submission is Only on MON/ WED.
  • Applicants must contact our office in advance - so we can allocate representative to assist the applicant with the Biometrics & Case processing at the Consulate office.
  • Original passport must be valid for at least 18 months (the passport number should match the details as listed on the Visa Authorization / Invitation) - beyond intended stay duration with minimum 4 blank visa pages (note: the amendment pages at the end of the passport - do not count as Visa pages)
  • Two (2) ,Visa application forms electronically typed, completed and duly signed by the applicant
    • Please ensure: Application forms must be completed in full & no column to be left blank. ***
    • Application MUST BE FILLED ONSCREEN ONLY (Handwritten applications are not acceptable for Visa processing)
    • Upon completion of the online form, Select "PRINT FORM" on page 4 - print 2 sets of Visa form, and sign.
    • Original signature of the applicant on page 3 of Visa form.
    • Please fill answers to all  questions on the visa - do not leave any section blank. If any portion does not apply - please write N/A or "not-applicable"
    • In case - your parents are deceased - you must still provide their full names, do not leave the section blank & do not write "deceased"
    • Applications with incomplete information - may be subject to delay
  • Two (2) recent photographs
    • passport size (2 x 2 in) colored photo
    • Photos must be recent, frontal-view, of the same batch, untouched, taken on white background
    • Wearing shirt & tie (for men) & (for women) shirt buttoned to the top.
    • showing applicant wearing no glasses of any kind, except for prescription eyewear
  • A copy of valid Yellow fever inoculation card
  • A company letter of guarantee on official letterhead - stating the name and position of the applicant in the company, purpose of visit or nature of business to be performed, full names & address of business reference in Angola, duration of stay, guarantee of return transportation and financial support while in Angola. The letter should be addressed to the “Consulate General of Angola” in Houston - TX.
  • A copy of the travel itinerary
  • Visa Authorization / Clearance from Angola – stating applicant’s name, passport details, position – The letter should be addressed to the “Consulate General of Angola” in Houston – TX, duly attested by relevant Ministry in Angola

OR

  • An invitation letter sent by the individual or organization who will be the applicant’s contact in Angola stating applicant's name, passport details, purpose & duration of stay. The letter should be addressed to the “Consulate General of Angola” in Houston – TX.
  • Copy of Inviting person's identity card
  • In individual cases, you may be required to provide additional documents.
  • Additional for non-US citizens:
    • Copy of original passport
    • Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa (L1, H1B, etc.) stamped in the passport

 ***Please fill the Application Information sheet and send it to us electronically with copy of the Passport & invitation, we will fill the online form on behalf of the applicant (and when the applicant appears for finger-printing, they can bring all ORIGINALS with themselves to Houston)

OR

The required paperwork for Visa processing can be sent to our office in advance, and the file can be prepared for finger-printing & Visa processing.

NOTE: Applicant is required to be present in person at the Consulate General of Angola in Houston, to complete the finger-printing / Biometrics. Case submission is Only on MON / WED.

Time Taken: 3 - 5 business days

Visa Processing Fee: $100.00 - Fees payable by money order

Visa can be processed in Houston based on the Visa Authorization duly approved by MINPET - Ministry of Petroleum - Angola, addressed to the “Consulate General of Angola” in Houston - TX. The Visa can be processed for USA nationals and all Non-US passport holders having legal resident status in USA.

IMPORTANT:

  • The Consulate General of Angola in Houston is open for Visa submissions ONLY on Mon & Wed.
  • The STV (Visto de Curta Duração) Visa issuance generally takes about 2 days for processing (strictly based on the Travel itinerary submitted). The earliest collection may be given for next day flight leaving Ex - IAH after 0800pm / 2000hrs .
  • Visas are strictly issued per the travel date.
  • Applicant is required to be present in person at the Consulate General of Angola in Houston, to complete the finger-printing / Biometrics. Case submission is Only on MON/ WED.
  • Please ensure that the travel itinerary submitted for Visa processing is based on the 72 hrs rule to enter Angola, once the Visa is stamped on the passport. (72 hrs calculated from the time / date of Visa issuance).
  • Applicants must contact our office in advance - so we can allocate representative to assist the applicant with the Biometrics & Case processing at the Consulate office.

  • If you are a U.S legal resident: 
    • Copy of original passport
    • Copy of original or valid alien registration card or valid US resident Visa (L1, H1B, etc.) stamped in the passport

ATTENTION:

Processing of an application may be delayed, if prior Approval by Angolan authorities is not received at the Consulate office. Furthermore, the Embassy reserves the right to request additional documentation from any applicant, which may lead to the delay in Visa processing.
